In this session renowned designer and story-teller, Kit Hinrichs, will teach you bindery techniques, the all-important final stage of print production. Hinrichs will cover the history of binding, ideas for using binding as a design technique, outline the six basic types of binding giving you freedom to add variation, and provide a guide to binding materials. Every attendee will get The Standard 6: Bindery Techniques which provides step-by-step instructions along with the pros and cons of different binding techniques. In this talk you’ll learn everything you need to know about bindery techniques, with lots of colorful examples and good stories to illustrate the process.
